One Mile Closer ("we", "us", "our") is a private video-sharing app for couples in long-distance relationships. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. What We Collect

• Email address — used to create your account and send one-time sign-in codes. We never use it for marketing.
• Display name & partner's name — shown inside the app to personalize your experience.
• City names — used to calculate the approximate distance between you and your partner. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates.
• Videos you record — stored securely and delivered only to your paired partner. No one else can view them.
• Invite code — a randomly generated code used to pair two accounts. It does not contain any personal information.
• Push notification token — used to send you a notification when your partner's video arrives.
• Purchase receipt — processed by Apple/RevenueCat to verify your subscription. We never see your payment details.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To deliver your daily video to your partner and vice versa.
• To authenticate you via one-time email code (no password stored).
• To send push notifications about new videos and connection events.
• To verify your subscription status and unlock app features.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or analytics purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted in the United States. Videos are stored in encrypted object storage. All data in transit is protected by TLS.

Your videos are only accessible to you and your paired partner. No app employees can view your videos.

4. Data Retention

Your account and videos are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen inside the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

5. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Privacy policy
• RevenueCat — subscription management. Privacy policy
• Apple Push Notification Service — push notifications.

6. Children's Privacy

One Mile Closer is intended for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us or using the in-app delete account feature. If you are in the EU or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively — contact us to exercise them.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification or in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
